Santoprene Thermoplastic Rubber

Santoprene rubber is a high performance elastomer in the thermoplastic rubber family.  The composition of Santoprene rubber is highly cross linked rubber particles mixed throughout a continuous matrix of thermoplastic material. Santoprene rubber has an incredible fluid resistance when compared to other synthetic rubber materials such as neoprene or SBR.

Santoprene rubber has superior flexibility and low compression set.  Having these characteristic generally makes it difficult to process, however, Santoprene rubber is basically simple to process with these traits being a factor.

Santoprene rubber offers several options in processing the material for the automotive, medical and food handling industries. As a result, Santoprene rubber is being specified and used in many applications from energy to lab uses.
